THE WELLINGTON CHOSEN FOR SUPPORTIVE LIVING SUITES

In 2011, The Wellington was selected by Alberta Health to provide 50 supportive living suites. Renovations have been completed and many of our new residents have moved in and are enjoying life at The Wellington.

Due to this change, The Wellington is currently not accepting any additional applications for private pay suites. However, we do anticipate suites becoming available in the future and are maintaining a waiting list. Click here to arrange a tour or be added to the waiting list. Meet our Community

One of our active residents - shown below - celebrated her 100th birthday with a gala party at The Wellington. Here she is shown with her birthday cake, dancing with her grandson, and with a tree planted on the grounds in her honour.

A recent special events paid tribute to decades of brides with a show of wedding gowns, some modelled by residents and some by volunteers.

For Remembrance Day, we were delighted to recognize a Wellington resident who lives at the Wellington with his wife. The photo at left was taken in 1944, when he was serving overseas. At right is a photo of our Remembrance display.

EZ Suites - Surprisingly Affordable!

Among our sparkling new supportive living suites are our specially priced one-bedroom and studio EZ Suites. Aimed at solo seniors, who often have less income to spend in retirement, our EZ Suites offer surprisingly affordable retirement living. One-bedroom suites include one meal a day; Studio suites include two meals a day.

All suites include wide hallways and doors; walk-in showers; and 24/7 emergency response system and remote pager. Small pets - under 20 pounds - are welcome.

Senior Living for the Young at Heart

Each of our supportive living suites includes:

• The Freedom Plan, which gives you twice a month housekeeping service; twice a month linen laundry; plus lunch every day in the on-site Harvest Dining Room ~ Studio suites include lunch and supper in the dining room;
• An inviting living space with open floor plan, kitchen or tea kitchen to prepare your own meals, and energy efficient construction with soundproofing between suites;
• Access to all the activities and amenities of The Wellington: games room, billiards room, hobby centre, theatre room/chapel, exercise room, lounge, library, computer room, private dining room, and landscaped grounds; and
• Freedom to Play as you enjoy a carefree lifestyle.

As a resident of The Wellington, you also have easy access to additional personal care and homemaking services, including our money-saving Freedom Plus for residents of one bedroom and larger suites.
