Christmas at The Wellington
One of our Wellington residents sends an annual Christmas verse - in place of a Christmas letter - to family and friends. She agreed to share her 2009 message, which celebrates her second year as a happy Wellingtonian. Photos are from this year's Christmas Craft
and bake sale and tree-lighting celebration.

Well, I'm still in the 'Hat
As you may have guessed
But I will now fill you in
On some of the rest
We are so well looked after
By sweet Mary Lou
And how could we manage
Without dear Linda too?
The meals are delicious
But wouldn't you know
My waist is expanding
(Just hope it won't show)

The ones who attend us
Are really the best
They deliver our pills
And make sure that we rest
Our fine nurse, Louella,
is just such a treasure.
She checks that we're well
and takes our blood pressure.
There is so much to do
we are not often idle
Under Louella's gidance
We also study the Bible
Garry is the 'Jack of all Trades'
Wanda is so helpful in the office
They are so caring and willing
To look after all of us

With Bonnie and Mary's direction
We enjoy doing crafts
There trips, events, and games
As well as a great many laughs
If you're in need of a cut
Color, perm, shampoo or curl,
Folks hwere will tell you
That Charlotte's our girl
Have a wonderful Christmas
And a great New Year too
Be happy and healthy
And don't catch the flu
So don't worry about taxes
Your health or inflation
We are all of us blessed to
Live in this nation
|
 |
While we are enjoying
This great Christmas season
Let's be sure to remember
That Christ is the reason
As we open our gifts
Trim the tree and have fun
We'll remember the best gift
is God's Holy Son |
